I am posting this because I have already contacted Parakeet Support regarding these issues, but unfortunately I did not receive a proper response addressing my concerns. I was simply redirected to this community/Featurebase board.
I have been facing noticeable performance issues with Parakeet after the removal of GPT Mini.
When GPT Mini was available, the responses were more accurate, relevant, faster, and better at understanding the context provided. After its removal, the overall experience has become considerably less reliable for my use case.
Some of the issues I am currently facing:
1. Responses are sometimes irrelevant to the actual question.
2. Even after providing detailed Extra Content and clear instructions, the AI does not always follow the provided context properly.
3. Technical answers are sometimes incomplete or not suitable for the question being asked.
4. There is a noticeable difference in response quality compared with my previous experience using GPT Mini.
5. During live interviews, accuracy and speed are extremely important. An incorrect or irrelevant answer can seriously affect the user.
6. Users currently have less flexibility in choosing the model that works best for them.
My biggest concern is that this is a paid product. When users pay for an interview assistance service, they expect reliable performance. If the quality drops and support does not properly investigate or respond to the reported problems, it can make users feel that the money they paid is being wasted.
I contacted support specifically to explain the performance problems I was experiencing, but instead of addressing the actual issue or providing a technical explanation, I was redirected here. I would appreciate it if the Parakeet team could investigate the problem rather than treating every concern simply as a feature request.
I strongly request the team to:
• Bring back GPT Mini as a selectable model, or provide an equivalent/better model.
• Improve how Parakeet follows Extra Content and custom instructions.
• Give users the option to select the AI model that performs best for their needs.
• Investigate the reported response-quality issues.
• Provide better and more meaningful support when paying users report performance problems.
I was also interested in purchasing the Lifetime Subscription, but that option is no longer visible. Please clarify whether the Lifetime plan has been discontinued or whether it will become available again.
I like the concept of Parakeet and would like to continue using it, but reliability is the most important requirement for a product designed to assist during interviews.
Please take these concerns seriously and provide a proper response regarding the GPT Mini removal, current performance issues, and Lifetime Subscription availability.
