I experienced a serious compatibility issue between Parakeet AI and Zoom during an important interview. My token got all waste for 30 minutes.
When Parakeet AI was running with transcription enabled, Zoom showed a transcription-related error/alert and I was unable to join the meeting successfully.
As soon as I completely closed Parakeet AI, I was able to join the same Zoom meeting without any issue.
Because of this, the interview had to be rescheduled.

What Happened
I opened Parakeet AI before joining the Zoom interview.
Parakeet AI was active for transcription/interview assistance.
I clicked the Zoom meeting link.
Zoom displayed an alert/error related to transcription.
I was unable to properly join the Zoom meeting.
I closed Parakeet AI completely.
I tried joining the same Zoom meeting again.
Zoom worked normally and I was able to enter the meeting.
This strongly suggests that Parakeet AI was conflicting with Zoom's transcription, audio capture, permission, or meeting-security mechanism.
Expected Behaviour
Parakeet AI should be able to run without preventing Zoom from opening or joining a meeting.
If Zoom does not permit transcription or third-party audio access for a particular meeting, Parakeet AI should:
Detect the restriction safely.
Show a clear warning to the user.
Disable transcription automatically if required.
Never block or interfere with joining the meeting.
Actual Behaviour
Zoom appeared to detect or conflict with Parakeet AI's transcription functionality, and the meeting could only be joined after Parakeet AI was completely closed.
Impact
This was a critical issue because it occurred during a final-stage job interview and caused me to miss the original joining time. The interview had to be rescheduled.
I am currently avoiding Parakeet AI during Zoom interviews because I cannot risk the same issue happening again.

Reproduction Steps
Launch Parakeet AI on macOS.
Enable interview/transcription functionality.
Open the Zoom desktop client.
Attempt to join an enterprise Zoom meeting.
Observe whether Zoom displays a transcription-related warning or blocks the join flow.
Quit Parakeet AI completely.
Attempt to join the same meeting again.
Compare the result.

Please escalate this to the engineering team if necessary because this is a high-impact issue for users relying on Parakeet AI during interviews.
I would also appreciate clarification on whether the interviewer or other Zoom participants can be notified that Parakeet AI is accessing or transcribing meeting audio.
