Hi Team,
I am encountering a consistent issue with the Extra Context / Instructions prompt behavior during interview simulations.
Issue Summary:
When using structured prompts to enforce interviewer-only mode, the system does not return any response (no question is displayed).
Observed Behavior:
When instructions include constraints such as:
• “Ask one question at a time”
• “Do not generate candidate answers”
• “Wait for candidate response”
The system produces no output at all (deadlock)
Expected Behavior:
The system should at least output the first question (e.g., “Tell me about yourself”)
Even under strict constraints, it should degrade gracefully instead of failing silently
Additional Observations:
Over-constraining the prompt appears to block response generation
The system seems unable to handle turn-based interaction instructions (ask → wait)
There may be conflict resolution issues when multiple constraints are present
Impact:
Prevents usage of the tool for realistic interview simulations
Makes it impossible to control interviewer-only behavior
Request:
Please review how Extra Context instructions are interpreted
Ensure the system can:
• Output at least one response under constraints
• Handle turn-based interview prompts correctly
• Avoid deadlock when instructions are strict
Happy to share sample prompts and screenshots if needed.
Thanks,
Aditya Mahapatra
